FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS.

+ CAN I JUST WALK IN?

Sure. Provided you have an appointment. I no longer accept walk-in tattoos or consults as I prefer to work on a by-appointment-only basis. This allows me to work in a manner that will get the best end results for you. The best way to get your questions answered and your tattoo designed/tattooed is to book in for a free, no obligation consult.

+ HOW MUCH WILL (RANDOM IMAGE) COST?

Due to the large number of factors involved in pricing your tattoo I will not answer this question online. All it takes is a little of your time to sit down with me at a free, no obligation consultation where I work with you to get an approximate price for your tattoo.

+ WHAT ARE YOUR PRICES?

Because there are so many variables involved the best way to get an idea of how much your artwork is going to cost is to book in for a free, no obligation consultation. Firstly, take into account that you are paying for high quality work with high quality supplies (tattoo machines, single use needles, protective equipment, etc.) to create a sanitized, sterile set-up. All of this is used with your health, well being and the artwork in mind. That being said, here is an overview of my prices.

  • The absolute minimum cost for your tattoo (even if it is just a dot) will be $150. This applies to anything that will take an hour or less.
  • Anything that will take an hour or more is charged at $200 per hour.
  • If you require a full day session (6 hours) I will charge you $1000 for a full day.

Again, the best way to know how much your tattoo will cost is to book in for a consultation.

+ HOW MUCH DO YOU CHARGE FOR A SLEEVE?

The best way to know this is to book a free, no obligation consultation. You can book through the button in the menu above.

+ DO I HAVE TO PAY A DEPOSIT?

No you do not. I no longer take deposits.

The booking system I use will ask you to confirm your appointment via credit/debt card and will only be charged for the reasons outlined in my cancellation/no show policy found here.

+ WHEN SHOULD I NOT GET A TATTOO?

I advise that you don’t get a tattoo if:

  • Your immune system is compromised in any way.
  • If you are on medications that affect your skin and its ability to heal wounds such as antibiotics and acne medications. You can find more info here.
  • You are pregnant.
  • You have severe allergies (depending on the allergies I can work with you to see if it is safe for you to be tattooed).
  • You have a communicable disease (if you are sick, stay home).

  • You are under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

+ DO YOU DO GIFT VOUCHERS?

Yes I do offer gift vouchers at an amount of your choice.

+ DO YOU DO TOUCH UPS?

Yes I do. I offer touch-ups of my work for a fee of $20 to cover a small portion of the setup costs. This has to be done within the first year of getting the tattoo. After a year you will be carged full price. Hands and feet are always charged at full price. The rreasons will be explained to you during your consultation

+ CAN I BRING A SUPPORT PERSON?

Of course you can. I do prefer that you only bring one person though. More info on that here.

+ HOW LONG WILL MY TATTOO TAKE TO DO?

Tattooing is not a quick process and it really should not be rushed. You will be living with the results of this process for the rest of your life. It is best to take the time and get it right. An average, slightly complex design about the size of the back of your hand usually takes about 2-3 hours to complete. Larger more complex pieces can take many, many hours and can require multiple sessions to complete. Appointments are usually made in hourly blocks but for some smaller pieces I may only require a 30 minute appointment. These are charged at the minimum price. A full sleeve can take anything from 10 to 50 hours of work to complete depending on the design complexity.

+ CAN YOU TATTOO OVER SCARS OR STRETCH MARKS?

This depends on many factors such as the size, type and age of the scar(s) or stretch marks. If you wish to minimize or draw attention away from the scar(s) or stretch marks an option to consider is to incorporate a design around your scar. This is not to say it will not be possible. I have tattooed over many scars and stretch marks with great results. The best way to know if this will work in your case is to book in for a free, no obligation consultation so that I can see the area. Once I know what I am designing for I will work with you to get the best outcome for you.

+ WHAT INKS DO YOU USE?

I use some of the highest quality pigments available. My suppliers order their stock from reputable companies that manufacture the tattoo pigments under sterile conditions and are among the leaders of the industry in strict safety and quality standards. The pigment I use is high quality, vegan and safety-tested.

The brands I use are Dynamic, Solid and World Famous. Just click on the company name to learn more about them.

+ CAN YOU TATTOO ME AT HOME?

Simply put, no. I like to work in an environment that I can control to provide a safe, sanitary and comfortable (for you and me) place for you to get your artwork and prevent any cross contamination. This is for your own safety and my sanity.

+ MY BRO SAID HE WILL DO IT FOR $50 WILL YOU?

Sadly this comes up a lot. the answer is (and always will be) NO. Nothing against your "bro" but the prices you pay are for high quality artwork. Artwork that is created with high quality equipment, a clean and sanitary environment and an artist that has trained very hard to provide you with a quality tattoo that is going to last you a lifetime. I will not barter on price. I may decide to do deals from time to time. That is if or when I decide to. These deals will be announced first. If it is a deal you are after the best way to know they are happening is to subscribe to my mailing list to get in before the social media crowd.
